## The New Great Space Race

We are standing at the precipice of a privatized space race that will radically transform our future, for better or worse. Fear of repeating the same irreversible mistakes we've made on Earth has fractured the #NewSpace movement, birthing the #OpenSpace movement - a belief that space should belong to all, not the few. 

Spacerox DAO offers an international, decentralized, inclusive, and transparent approach to unlocking this new frontier on behalf of the everyday person. Acting as a bridge for the #OpenSpace community to expand into web3 and beyond. 

## How We Win - Solving the TotC

By utilizing blockchain as a source of truth, we can now effectively solve the "Tragedy of the Commons" i.e. **scale trust to unprecedented levels**. 

By combining the ability to realign individual incentives with the common good at scale, and using ***Ostram’s 8 principles*** as guiding core values, we aim to create a world where public and common goods are valued fairly for the benefits they deliver.

We are building a commons-based approach to sustaining public goods through incentive alignment, continuous funding and community governance.

The web3 movement has created a library of open-source, interoperable components, that empowers communities at scale. Enabling us to raise and allocate shared funds, make transparent decisions, and monitor our progress on projects: whether they be small like a satellite tracking application... **or big like developing sustainable asteroid mining operations in space.**
